Espectacular Acercamiento de Marte el 29/01/2010
Nuestro planeta y Marte están a punto de tener un encuentro cercano. Desde Enero 26 hasta fin de mes, el planeta rojo se encontrará a tan sólo 99 millones de kilómetros de la Tierra, entregando una inigualable oportunidad para observar a este cuerpo, moviéndose por la constelación de Cáncer, muy próxima de Canis Minor (Noreste de la bóveda), y con una magnitud 1.28.

El punto más cercano se producirá el día 29 a las 16h, 36m GMT. Para la comunidad astronómica, será una instancia ideal para la observación de la interesante atmósfera marciana, que durante este acercamiento ha de reaccionar generando suaves nubes que giran alrededor del planeta.
Insipientes nubes han de cubrir a Marte en esta temporada
Las próximas aproximaciones más importantes de Marte ocurrirán el 31 de julio del 2018 (57.6 millones de kms) y el 11 de septiembre del 2035 (56.9 millones de kms). La máxima aproximación histórica ocurrió el 2003, cuando su aproximación alcanzó los 55,7 millones de kms.

Hola. Me gusta el blog, está muy bonito y el diseño es agradable. Gracias a la información que publicaron pude hacer mi primera observación. Mi hermana me prestó su telescopio viejo y vi (aunque pequeño) a MARTE **, Que emoción!!.

Supongo que habrás aprovechado la oportunidad de apreciar la Luna el fin de semana. El satélite se encontraba en su perigeo, es decir, la distancia más cercana hacia la Tierra, un poco más de 50.000 kms, lo que la hizo verse un 14% más grande y un 30% más brillante.
Adjunto una imagen que tomé el día 29 de Febrero.
En élla se puede ver las principales estructuras lunares. Los mejor de todo es que también podían apreciarse a simple vista.
En fin, hoy la mancha solar 1043 nos vuelve a dar la cara. Por ahora las condiciones solares son normales, pero se espera un aumento de la velocidad del plasma para los próximos días.
